I click on the XML link and all I see is code

Podcasting relies on a technology called XML (eXtensible Markup Language) to deliver the program information. Your browser cannot process this information, so if you click on the XML link to a podcast, you will see only the raw RSS feed in XML code.

You need a free piece of software called a podcast receiver to translate the XML. (See our FAQS: What do I need to hear a podcast? ). Then you're ready to subscribe.

What is Podcasting?

Unlike broadcasting and webcasting, which create a steady flow of audio, podcasting allows programs to be downloaded automatically, stored in your computer, and listened to at leisure, either there at your desk or on a portable player.
